Makan-makan anytime

People in Kuching love to makan (eat in Malay) and you could be forgiven for thinking about food all the time. Malaysians enjoy eating out and embrace food from different cultures.

There’s at least one cafe on every block. The cafes here are called kopitiam (coffee shop) in Hokkien. Every kopitiam carries not only drinks, it usually has stalls selling noodles, roti canai, chicken rice, etc. The prices are very reasonable. A bowl of noodle can be as cheap as RM2.50 (USD0.80). I am in noodle heaven!

My Sunday breakfast: seafood noodle soup & roti canai. It's totally fine to have noodles and curry in the morning.

Cooking Again

After a month long of having raw fruits and veggies, finally I started cooking again yesterday. It was mostly for Karan.

Kai was happy to enjoy the aroma from the food.

I miss my raw food. So, I try to have at least something raw every day. Cucumber, strawberries, grape fruit, figs, etc. Fresh fruits/veggies are so full of life. My body can definitely recognize that.

I ate a tiny slice of cold oven baked cake. I couldn’t resist. It was so good.

To make myself feel better, I did 50 sit-ups. 🙂

Juice Fast: 19th Day

19th day of my juice fast. I feel like I can go on forever.

I’ve lost 12 lbs so far. The jeans are becoming loose on me and my tummy is flat. What an orgasmic feeling.

Freshly squeezed apple + grape juice is heavenly!!! It’s one thing that I look forward to every day.

I’ll come out of my fast next week and will miss this fast so much. I am treasuring every moment of this detox. 🙂
